Laboratory Reactor
High Pressure Vacuum Distillation Reactor

Name:High Pressure Vacuum Distillation Reactor

Details
Vacuum distillation reactor: It is a device for quickly concentrating liquid samples. Because the stirring system is static sealed by magnetic stirring, it can maintain high vacuum. The sample is heated and decompressed in the reactor, and the evaporation surface area is increased continuously by rotating the stirring system to accelerate the evaporation rate. It is mainly used for concentration, crystallization, drying, separation and solvent recovery in pharmaceutical, chemical and biopharmaceutical industries. The principle is that under vacuum condition, heating at constant temperature and fully stirring of the stirring system can make the material evaporate efficiently and quickly. Solvent vapor is cooled by high efficiency condenser and recovered in collection bottle, which greatly improves evaporation efficiency. It is especially suitable for concentrating and purifying biological products which are easily decomposed and denatured at high temperature.

How to Guarantee Vacuum of Reactor Vacuum Distillation System
1. Because of the different boiling points of liquids under different vacuum degrees, stirring and vacuum distillation is opened in the reactor. When the liquids begin to reach the boiling point, control the heat supply and keep the temperature unchanged, so as to ensure a good condensation recovery when a large amount of steam flows out. Under the condition of low vacuum degree and sufficient heat supply, along with steaming. When distillation proceeds, the vacuum degree will gradually increase until the vacuum degree of industrial production can basically reach more than 0.85 mpa.
The boiling point of a liquid is the temperature at which its vapor pressure equals the external pressure. Therefore, the boiling point of a liquid varies with the change of the external pressure. If the pressure in the system is lowered by means of a vacuum pump, the boiling point of a liquid can be lowered, which is the theoretical basis of vacuum distillation operation. Vacuum distillation is one of the common methods for separating and purifying organic compounds. It is especially suitable for substances that have been decomposed, oxidized or polymerized before reaching the boiling point in atmospheric distillation.

2. The vacuum distillation unit is mainly composed of distillation, pumping (decompression), safety protection and pressure measurement. The distillation part consists of distillation bottle, Kjeldahl distillation head, capillary, thermometer, condensation tube and receiver. Kjeldahl distillation head can reduce the possibility of splashing into condensation tube due to liquid boiling, while capillary is used as gasification center to make distillation stable and avoid the phenomenon of boiling rush caused by liquid overheating. In order to control the air intake of the capillary in the laboratory vacuum distillation reactor, a soft rubber tube can be placed at the top of the capillary glass tube. A thin wire can be inserted into the rubber tube and clamped by a screw. In the receiving part of the distillate, two or three pear-shaped or round flasks are usually connected by multi-tail nozzles. When accepting different fractions, the distillation reactor with multi-tail nozzles needs only to be rotated. In the vacuum distillation system, no cracked or despicable glass instruments should be used. Especially, esterification polycondensation kettle should not be used in flat-bottomed bottles (such as conical bottles) which can not withstand pressure to prevent introversion ***. Vacuum pump vacuum distillation reactor is used in the pumping part. The most common vacuum pumps are water pump and oil pump. Safety protection part usually has safety bottles. If oil pump is used, it must also have cold traps, and absorption drying towers with granular sodium hydroxide, massive paraffin, activated carbon or silica gel, anhydrous calcium chloride, etc. to avoid low boiling point solvents, especially acid and water vapor entering the oil pump and reduce the vacuum efficiency of the pump. Therefore, all low boiling point liquids and water, as well as acid and alkaline gases, must be evaporated under normal pressure or water pump decompression before oil pump vacuum distillation. The piezometer is used in the piezometric part, and the commonly used piezometer is used in the piezometric part.
